Over 6 months in the making. The rig is now complete. Our first afterburner test was completely successful and our digital hertz meter works like a beauty. The afterburner is awesome up close, deafening. Multiply the tacho readings by 60 and that is our RPMs. The turbine's blown oil seal and the back pressure from the afterburner now seems to be affecting the turbines combustion and causing overheating fins and inefficient combustor burn which we never had before the afterburner went on. Ya get that on the big jobs I just hope someone is filming when it self destructs. Big thanks to Dave and Darren for all their help on the project from start to finish. Couldn't have done it without 'em.
